Haute Epoque, An Exceptional Silver Reliquary Crucifix, Zaragoza, Spain, 1580-1610

Reliquary crucifix with four theca boxes containing relics, sealed with faceted crystal.

Including a relic, probably for Saint Indaletius (Yndalecio), patron saint of Almeria, Spain.

Decorated with a cherub's head and finished with an acorn-shaped finial.

Decorated on the back with engraved floral S-shaped scrolls.

Silver, marked with a striche and hallmark (Léon-CES) for Zaragoza (ca. 1560-1686), silver tested.
